Its collection has approximately 300,000 works of arts — ranging from ancient art through to work being created by today’s foremost artists. Inside of the Art Institute of Chicago – in the middle is painting ‘A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte’ painted in 1884 – one of Georges Seurat’s most famous works, and is an example of pointillism.

The collection of the Art Institute of Chicago encompasses more than 5,000 years of human expression from cultures around the world and contains more than 300,000 works of art and 11 curatorial departments.

      Yes, the Art Institute of Chicago is the one of the best museum in entire America. So many masterpieces, so many wonderful works and so many geniuses at one place. This is the place everyone should visit at least one time!!!
